The Canadian Icehouse

We worked with The Canadian Brewhouse Group on this uniquely branded location at the Ice District in Edmonton, AB.

The signage scope consisted of (2) exterior illuminated signs, and (1) additional illuminated sign spanning across the interior entrance of this one of a kind location. The flagship sign for this location – one of Canada’s largest restaurants – needed to be special and it did not disappoint.

The structure of this 923lbs out-riggger mounted goliath, is a custom painted 4″ deep carrier with a finished back-side to cater to visibility from the windows in behind. On it’s face are custom silver reflecto-discs which are fastened to the face in a way whereas the discs move with the wind, creating a very dynamic effect when reflecting external light. Layered on top of the reflecto disks is a custom routered dark blue painted ACP panel that is contoured to highlight around the logo and CANADIAN letters, as well as act as a backer to the halo-lighting effect. The channel letters are trim-cap style channel letters with vinyl graphics. “The”, “star shapes” “Icehouse” are all face illuminated with white LEDs, and the “Canadian” letters are face-illuminated with red LEDs and halo illuminated with blue LEDs. The sign was mounted to an HSS outrigger with thru-bolts.

The overall size is 6’9″ X 19’6″W. To round out the establishment’s branding there are additional exterior and interior signs that mimic that of the flagship sign, save for the reflecto disk and carrier box approach. The secondary exterior sign installed at 65’H from grade and measuring 6’H X 15’W. The interior sign spanning the entrance measures 7’1″H x 15′ 9″W, and the flexibrite leaf is 8’11″W x 8’6″W.
